The Goddard School of Aubrey

Zahra’s mission as the owner of The Goddard School located in Aubrey is for children to build a strong foundation for a healthy, happy and successful life. She believes that a child’s experience in the classroom and how they learn and interact with others in their earliest years are instrumental in their development. Partnering with parents to help build the lives of children is what she strives to contribute to the families and the local communities she serves. Zahra’s life-long passion is in education. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin, she has a master’s degree in education from The Aga Khan University. She worked in early childhood education for 12 years, serving as a teacher for 8 years and then as a manager of curriculum and training for the past 4 years. She believes there’s no one-size-fits all approach to teaching children – they learn in multiple ways through fun learning experiences. Her master’s thesis even explored teaching science to young children using songs, poems and games! Zahra is enjoying every moment building The Goddard School. She is committed to the mission of providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for children ages six weeks to six years old using an engaging play-based curriculum.
