Join us in celebrating Black History through stories! 📚
At The Goddard School - Worcester, Black History Month is a time to honor the rich history, strength, and achievements of Black Americans. But celebrating diverse stories is something we embrace all year long! These stories help children develop empathy, appreciation, and a true sense of belonging. 💙
Dr. Ann McClain Terrell, a member of our Educational Advisory Board, has curated a must-read list of books that highlight Black history and culture. From inspiring real-life figures to vibrant stories celebrating diversity, these books help children see themselves—and others—in powerful ways.

On Monday, our team took part in another wonderful Professional Development day. We explored topics such as Resilience and Self Esteem, Active Bodies Active Minds, and Approaches to Positve Decipline with Vanesa and G3 Consulting Group. Some of our teachers reviewed and refreshed their valuable life saving CPR and First Aid skills with Keith Banks our great Heathcare Consultant. The day was full of fun, team work, and valuable learning!

On Wednesday evening, our team enjoyed another valuable training delivered by our friends at G3 Consulting Group. During the evening, Suzanne provided a wonderful hands-on learning experience as we explored Tools for Calming Children. We examined what things make us, as adults, disregulated and how to include our own calming strategies in the classroom as well. Once again, time we'll spent!
