AdvancED Corporation Accreditation ensures that we meet high standards specific to early learning, development and care. The AdvancED standards1 address how well schools perform on the following criteria:
Purpose and Direction - The school maintains and communicates a purpose and direction that commit to high expectations for learning as well as shared values and beliefs about teaching and learning.
Governance and Leadership - The school operates under governance and leadership that promote and support student performance and school effectiveness.
Teaching and Assessing for Learning - The school’s curriculum, instructional design, and assessment practices guide and ensure teacher effectiveness and student learning.
Resources and Support Systems - The school has resources and provides services that support its purpose and direction to ensure success for all students.
Using Results for Continuous Improvement - The school implements a comprehensive assessment system that generates a range of data about student learning and school effectiveness and uses the results to guide continuous improvement.
Goddard Systems, Inc. earned Middle States Corporate Accreditation in 2011. The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools has been providing accreditation and school improvement to colleges, secondary schools and elementary schools for over 100 years. Over the past few years, the accreditation standards have been extended to Early Childhood through the Early Age Education Accreditation. This accreditation acknowledges the work that Goddard Systems, Inc. does to ensure that our schools continue to maintain a high quality program in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Goddard Systems University (GSU) has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Professional development for faculty is required by all states. The number of hours varies according to each state’s regulations. GSU provides professional development to the Schools. The GSU Field Instructors have degrees in early education and several years of experience working with children. They bring their education and expertise as they provide professional development in such areas as child development, health and safety, curriculum and classroom practices and other topics pertaining to early education.
GSU training hours can be applied to a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, a nationally recognized credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition.
