At The Goddard School - Jenks, Black History Month is a time to honor the rich history, strength, and achievements of Black Americans. But celebrating diverse stories is something we embrace all year long! These stories help children develop empathy, appreciation, and a true sense of belonging. 💙
Dr. Ann McClain Terrell, a member of our Educational Advisory Board, has curated a must-read list of books that highlight Black history and culture. From inspiring real-life figures to vibrant stories celebrating diversity, these books help children see themselves—and others—in powerful ways.

- If you're a parent, you've likely heard the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child." While this concept is still true today, today's parents are reinventing what it means to rely on their “village” when it comes to raising a child. According to a recent survey conducted by Talker Research and The Goddard School, 78% of parents with children aged 0-6 agree that the definition of a village— or their community and support system— is different today than when they were growing up.
