Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the franchisor of The Goddard School, the nation’s leading premium childcare provider, has been selected by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as a 2021 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation winner. For more than 45 years, PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, has celebrated the best of the best in public relations tactics for their contribution to the success of overall programs or campaigns.
Partnering with Celebrity Focus, Inc., GSI received the Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in the Brand Video > Employee Engagement category for their 2020 Teacher Appreciation Week video. Honored by PRSA for its ability to educate, inspire, and develop more trust and loyalty to the Goddard brand, the video was created as a gesture of GSI’s deep gratitude for all Goddard School teachers. It was shared with more than 12,000 Goddard School teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, an annual event celebrated across the United States. The video featured 22 celebrities including Debra Messing, Taye Diggs, and Brandi Chastain, thanking every Goddard School teacher for all the hard work and dedication they put forth for the American children under their care, particularly amid the challenges faced during the pandemic.
“In 2020, the Goddard faculty and staff showed again why they are true heroes,” said Chris Malone, Executive Vice President, Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at GSI. “Throughout the pandemic, they provided comfort and familiarity to their students, working tirelessly and bravely to navigate new ways of teaching, adopt new technologies, and manage student and family stressors. Although there are no words to adequately thank them for their determination and devotion to their students, this video helps us convey the appreciation they deserve during their special week.”
“The purpose of this video was to recognize and honor Goddard teachers who lend their passion and skills to educating their students,” added Ric Bachrach, Chief Executive Officer at Celebrity Focus, Inc. “This project has a significant meaning to us, and we are honored to receive the coveted Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation for a video that we were so proud to create.”
The Bronze Anvil Awards recognize superior performance in the design and execution of an individual public relations tactic within a broader public relations campaign. This year, a total of 358 entries were submitted in 33 different categories and corresponding subcategories and then judged by nationwide teams of PRSA members and others with expertise in the specific categories.
Only one Bronze Anvil may be awarded in each of these categories, with runners-up receiving the Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation. There can be no more than three runners-up in each category, and only programs meeting PRSA’s Bronze Anvil rigorous standards were selected.
