Premier early childhood education franchise named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® and Franchise Business Review’s Top 200 Franchises lists
The Goddard School, the nation’s premier early childhood education provider, has been recognized as one of the country’s top franchises in this year’s Entrepreneur Franchise 500® and Franchise Business Review’s Top 200 Franchises (FBR 200). The Goddard School’s inclusion in these annual rankings is a testament to the business opportunity that owning a Goddard franchise presents.
The Goddard School is ranked #60 in the Franchise 500, up 36 spots from 2022, and is included in this list for the 25th consecutive year. The Franchise 500 is the world’s first and most comprehensive franchise ranking. The evaluation analyzes several factors, including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. Each franchise is given a cumulative score based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.
“The past year underscores the extraordinary opportunities that the franchise industry presents for entrepreneurs of all levels,” says Entrepreneur editor in chief Jason Feifer. “The companies named to our 44th annual Franchise 500 list represent some of the most innovative, creative and trusted brands across many industries and highlight what it takes to build the kind of momentum that drives long-lasting success.”
“We are honored to once again be recognized by Entrepreneur as a leading franchise brand, one that is creating attractive opportunities for both existing and new franchisees,” said Dennis R. Maple, chairman and CEO of Goddard Systems, LLC (GSL), the manager of The Goddard School franchise system. “This recognition is a direct reflection of Goddard employees’ and franchisees’ passion for providing high-quality education and care for families across the country.”
Now in its 18th year, the FBR 200 is a recognition of the best franchise opportunities based solely on ratings and reviews provided directly by franchise owners. Franchise Business Review’s research delivers the most comprehensive list of today’s top franchise opportunities based on actual reviews from nearly 38,000 franchise owners across more than 360 of today’s leading franchise companies.
“Being included in the FBR 200 is a particularly rewarding honor, as it’s a direct vote of trust and confidence from the foundation of our brand — our franchisees,” added Maple. “As we begin our 35th year as a franchisor and nationally recognized early childhood education provider, this recognition illustrates our commitment to building upon Goddard’s rich history of success by empowering our franchisees and their businesses to flourish.”
The Franchise 500 and FBR 200 recognitions come on the heels of a history-making year for Goddard in 2022, which includes the opening of its 600th location. Two further accolades that underscore the strength of the Goddard brand and the opportunity it affords franchisees include being ranked #94 —the highest-ranking childcare provider — in the 2022 Franchise Times Top 500 and an industry-leading 2022 FUND® Score.
“Our recent recognitions further demonstrate our franchise system’s growth and success as we continue to deliver a rewarding business experience for our franchisees,” said Kevin Brickner, vice president of franchise sales, GSL. “These accolades are testaments to the proven franchise model Goddard has used to support our franchisees with best-in-class operating standards, marketing and training, innovative educational programing and more.”
Since beginning its franchising journey in 1988, Goddard Schools have opened in large cities and small towns across 37 states and Washington, D.C., becoming an essential part of communities across the country.
