Our Teachers

Mr. Rick is the Owner of the Goddard School of Meridian. His son attended a Goddard in Texas and he was able to see first hand the difference early childhood education can make. Originally from Canada, Mr. Rick has a Bachelor's in Small Business from Mount Royal University and is passionate about helping children develop a love of learning. Rick enjoys spending time with his family, the great outdoors, and his dog Yogi. Mr. Rick is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through the Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Alexus is our Operations Director. She has 12 years experience working with children, including 7 years in the classroom working with Infants to Preschool age students. Ms. Alexus has her Director Certificate through the Childcare Education Institute and is pursuing a bachelor's degree at Lewis Clark State College. She specializes in family engagement, professional development for staff and day to day operations of the school. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and three kiddos and sipping coffee with a great book. Ms. Alexus is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Brooke is our Education Director. She brings 16 years of experience to the role including time in the classroom working with Infants to PreK students.  Most recently she worked at the U of I as an education coach and mentor for teachers in the area. Brooke obtained her Associate degree in early childhood education from College of Western Idaho and an Infant Mental Health Endorsement through AIM Early Idaho. Currently, she is pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with an emphasis in Conflict Management at Boise State University. She specializes in supporting our teachers in the classroom, providing resources and training around best practice and managing quality control within the school. She has lived in Boise most of her life and enjoys walking the greenbelt with her fur baby Lucy, playing board games, and enjoying brunch with friends. Ms. Brooke has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid certified.

Ms. Taryn is Lead Teacher in our Koala classroom (Infant to 12 months). She has over 5 years' experience working with children and has been with The Goddard School since January of 2022. She enjoys spending time with her children and going out with friends. Ms. Taryn is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare department.

Ms. Anne is Assistant Teacher in our Koala classroom (Infant to 12 months). She has over 23 years of experience working with children of all ages. In her free time Anne enjoys photography, spending time with her family, reading and watching tv. She is also a grandma to six. Ms. Anne is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare department.

Ms. Melissa is Lead Teacher in our Guppy Classroom (12 - 18 months). She has been working with children for over 5 years and has been with The Goddard School since Spring of 2022. Originally from Washington, Ms. Melissa loves spending time with her husband Tim and their daughter Hayden. Melissa also loves good food, movies, watching sports (Go Packers), and making art. Melissa has completed her CPR and First Aid certification and a background check through Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Mina is Assistant Teacher in our Guppies classroom (12-18 months old). She has obtained multiple AA’s including Early Childhood Education Administration. Mina recently moved to the Boise area from California. She has over 10 years of experience working with children from infants to eleven years old. In her free time Mina enjoys cooking, sports, planning events, and shopping. Ms. Mina is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare department.

Ms. Haley is Lead Teacher in our Penguins Classroom (18-24 months). She has been working with children for 2 years and joined The Goddard School in Fall of 2023. Ms. Haley is currently pursuing her associate degree in English Literature. She plans to complete her bachelor’s in education afterwards, with the goal to become an English Teacher in the future. She enjoys reading, painting and exploring the outdoors with her fiancé. Ms. Haley has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Jayden is Assistant Teacher in our Penguins classroom (18-24 months). She has been working in childcare for five years and has experience working with infants all the way up to school age children. Jayden has obtained her associates degree in liberal arts, and is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education. Ms. Jayden is CPR and First Aid Certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Jacky is Lead Teacher of the Octopus classroom (2 - 3 years). Ms. Jacky has been working with children for 5 years and has been with The Goddard School since Spring of 2021. Originally from Washington, she enjoys spending time with her family and dancing. Ms. Jacky is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho’s Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Torri is Lead Teacher of our Monkey class (2-3 years). She has been working with children for over 8 years and has been with The Goddard School since February of 2021. She loves being outside and enjoying all that Boise has to offer with her husband and daughter, Avery. Ms. Torri is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Juannie, (pronounced Wonnie), is Assistant Teacher in our Monkey classroom. She has been with The Goddard School of Meridian since July of 2022. Originally from Saipan, Juannie enjoys exploring the outdoors, relaxing, hanging with friends and family, and eating good food. Ms. Juannie is currently pursuing her associate degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Juannie is CPR and First aid certified and has completed a back ground check through Idaho's department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Alexis is Lead Teacher in our Dolphin's classroom (3-4 years old). She has been working with children for 3 years and has been with The Goddard School since Spring 2024. Ms. Alexis recently moved to Idaho from California with her husband, 2 cats and her dog to be closer to family. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and reading. Ms. Alexis is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho’s Department of Education.

Ms. Angela is Assistant Teacher in our Dolphin classroom. She has been working with children for two years and joined The Goddard School of Meridian in the Fall of 2023. Ms. Angela is originally from Brazil and moved to Idaho in 2022 with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new recipes and sharing her love for others through cooking. Ms. Angela is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Cortney is Assistant Teacher in our Giraffe classroom (ages 3-4 years). Cortney has been working in the Early Education field for nearly 14 years and has been a part of The Goddard School team since the winter of 2024. Cortney settled in Idaho after spending the better half of a year exploring the country on bike with her husband. Now, a new grandmother, she has made Idaho home but still enjoys opportunity to be outside, explore Idaho and cook. Ms. Cortney is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Amanda is Lead Teacher of our Panda Classroom (4-5 years). Originally from Honduras, Ms. Amanda has her degree in Education Administration and brings 9 years of experience to the classroom. She has been working with The Goddard School since February of 2020. Her many hobbies include painting, music, biking, hiking and spending time with her family. Ms. Amanda is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Mai'ana (pronounced My-Ahna) is Assistant Teacher in our Panda's classroom. She moved to Idaho in the Spring of 2023 and began working at The Goddard School of Meridian shortly afterward. In her free time, you can find her reading, spending time with family and friends or swimming. Ms. Mai'Ana has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Jillian is Lead Teacher in our Otter classroom (4-5 years). Ms. Jillian started working in childcare in 2009 in Louisiana helping out at the Fort Polk Army base as an aide before going to study Early Childhood Education in California. She has experience throughout the field, working with various ages and as a Director and Curriculum Coordinator. She has been with The Goddard School since Spring of 2022. In her spare time she likes to craft with her two kids and hang out with her husband and cat. Ms. Jillian is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Ragan is Assistant Teacher in our Otters Classroom (4-5 year olds). She has been working with children for over 15 years and started working for The Goddard School in the summer of 2024. In her free time Ms. Ragan enjoys crafting, watching movies, hiking, and camping. Ragan has completed her CPR and First Aid certification and a background check through Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Ms. Kim is Lead Teacher for our Owl classroom (4-5 years). Ms. Kim has been working at The Goddard School since Spring of 2021. She holds an Associates Degree in General Education and has over 20 years' experience working with children. Ms. Kim loves spending time with her family, reading, and hiking. Ms. Kim is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Aysia is Assistant Teacher in our Owl's classroom (4 to 5 years). She is from a little island in the Pacific Ocean known as Saipan and moved to Idaho with her husband in 2021. Ms. Aysia has been working at The Goddard School since July of 2021. In her free time, she loves to dance, go hiking and just be around family. Ms. Aysia is CPR and First Aid Certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Hailey is Resource Teacher supporting all classrooms. Originally from Payette, Ms. Hailey has been working with children for 7 years and started at The Goddard School in Summer of 2023. In her spare time you can find her camping, traveling, swimming, baking and cooking. She is excited to bring her passion for working with children to the classroom. Ms. Hailey has completed a background check through Idaho's department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid certified.

Ms. Brooke is a resource teacher that supports all our classrooms. She has been working with children for a little over 4 years now and has been with The Goddard School since Summer of 2023. She is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Brooke enjoys snowmobiling in the winter, and being around family. Ms. Brooke has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Mickie is a resource teacher who supports all our classrooms and has been working at The Goddard School since November of 2020. She is a proud mother of two wonderful grown children and a grandma to four grandchildren. She has been working with children for 20 years and has enjoyed every minute of it! In her spare time she enjoys watching Hallmark movies and drinking coffee. Ms. Mickie has completed her CPR and First Aid and a background check through Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Emma is a Resource teacher assisting in all of our programs. Ms. Emma has been working with children for about 6 years. Emma recently got married and moved from Utah. In her spare time you can find Ms. Emma boating, enjoying time outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Emma has completed a background check through Idaho's department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Rachel is a resource teacher who supports all of the classrooms and has been with The Goddard School since Summer of 2023. Ms. Rachel has been working with children for 12 years now and has 4 children of her own. In her spare time you can find Ms. Rachel spending time with her family & friends, scrapbooking, and crafting. Ms. Rachel has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Jessica is a resource teacher that supports all our classrooms. She has been working with children for over 3 years now and has been with The Goddard School since June of 2023. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. On any given day, you can find Ms. Jessica outdoors. She loves to go kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping, and water skiing. Ms. Jessica has completed a background check through Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare and is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Samantha is a resource teacher who supports all our classrooms and has been working at The Goddard School since February of 2024. She has 3 years experience working with children as a lead teacher. Ms. Samantha was born and raised in Alaska. Ms. Samantha graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2014, with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Samantha moved to Boise to pursue her Masters at Boise State University. Fall of 2020, she completed her M.Ed. in Early and Special Education. Ms. Samantha lives in Star with her Husband, son, Jerry (a student at Goddard) and two dogs (Bailey and Stella). In her spare time she likes to fish, kayak, bead and travel. Ms. Samantha is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check through the Idaho's Health and Welfare division.

Ms. Cathy is a resource teacher that supports all our classrooms. She has over 2 years of experience working with children and has been working at The Goddard School since February of 2023. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Cathy enjoys time with her family, crocheting, and watching football - Roll Tide! Ms. Cathy is CPR and First Aid Certified and has completed a background check through Idaho's department of Health and Welfare.
