Our Teachers

We are happy to introduce Geetika Gupta, on-site owner of The Goddard School® located at 2385 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary NC. As a mother of two children, Geetika recognizes the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment, which is why she chose The Goddard School. She is proud to offer the opportunity for children to grow through exploration and hands-on learning. Geetika holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and has also completed her substitute effective teacher training from Wake Technical Community College. In her spare time, Geetika likes traveling with her family and enjoys exploring new places. She also loves watching football, soccer and tennis. She loves to celebrate special occasions and spend quality time with her friends and family. “Children learn best through play,” says Geetika. “I am thrilled to be able to provide a fun, play-based learning experience for the children in my community.” Geetika invites your family to visit the beautiful new School in Cary.

Ms. Sheetal is the proud owner of The Goddard School of Cary Lochmere. Sheetal and her husband, Sandeep, have lived in the Triangle since 2004 and have been part of the Cary community since 2010. As a of mom of two boys who were enrolled in a preschool since they were infants she brings the unique perspective of a parent for providing a safe and nurturing environment along with a strong learning foundation. Being a soccer family, where her husband is a volunteer soccer coach and both her boys play soccer, and a family that loves to travel, she understands the importance of introducing children to different experiences early on in their childhood. She has a Master’s in Business Administration and has worked for more than 15 years in Information Technology prior to starting on her entrepreneurial journey. If not greeting the families at the front, she is usually found in the classrooms playing and having fun with her little friends!

Ms. Rebecca is our dynamic Center Director. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC with over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field and is Admin Level3 certified! She has worked for Goddard Schools for a collective experience of 5 and half years and joined our school when she moved back to Apex, NC. She loves working with children and their families. She enjoys watching them grow and develop, learning new things and the joy it brings to the parents when a new task has been achieved. In her free time she enjoys watching sporting events with her family and shopping especially at home stores! Our seasonal front lobby decorations are creative gems all thanks to her!

Paula started at the Goddard School in June 2024. She has over 20 years experience working in childcare and has raised 3 of her own children. Paula began her career as a "More at Four" program teacher and then made her way to working with infants and toddlers. She chose childcare because she thinks working with children is such a joy and she loves to be part of the foundational skills building that comes in the early years. Paula loves watching the children grow and creating a bond with them that could last forever. In her free time, Paula enjoys spending time with her friends, family and pets. Cailyn started at the Goddard School in December of 2023. She graduated high school in 2023 and is planning to attend NC State for criminology. Cailyn started working in childcare in October of 2023 but has been babysitting since she was in the 6th grade! She loves working with the babies because they bring so much fun and joy to the world. In her free time, Cailyn likes to sing, bake, crochet and watch TV. She also like to hang out with her friends and play cards with her grandparents! Kierra started at the Goddard School in May of 2024. She graduated high school in 2023 and is currently enrolled in college. Kierra has spent time working as a middle school teachers assistant, a baby sitter and in formal childcare at the YMCA. She chose to work in childcare because she enjoys making the learning experience fun for children! In her free time, Kierra likes to read, paint, and be outside in nature. Favorite Children's Book: "A Bad Case of the Stripes" by David Shannon. Favorite Quote: "Be kind, try your best and help those who are unable to help themselves."

Ashley started at the Goddard School in December of 2022. She has her bachelors degree in educational studies from Campbell University. Ashley has over five years of experience working with toddlers from age 12-24 months. She loves watching children hit their developmental milestones. In her free time, Ashley loves to travel, explore new places, and hopes to visit every state in the US! Favorite Children's Book: "Winnie the Pooh" by A.A. Milne. Anahia started at the Goddard School in May 2023. She graduated Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School in 2020. Anahia loves working with children and has been helping her grandmother babysit since she was 10 years old! In her free she like to lay back with her feet up watching movies and TV shows. Anahia also likes to go shopping, go out to eat and help her grandmother out around the house! Favorite Children's Book: The Junie B. Jones Book Series by Barbara Park. Megan started at the Goddard school at the beginning of 2020 and is a very integral part of the wonderful team here at Goddard! She has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credential from Stanly Community College and has been working in childcare for over eight years. Megan loves being in the classroom and teaching is her passion. She loves watching the children explore the world and learn something new everyday! In her free time, Megan loves to read books, knit, crochet, go hiking and spend time with her family! Favorite Children's Book: "Little Blue Truck" by Alice Schertle. Kayla started at the Goddard School in August of 2024. She graduated High School in 2019 and is currently in school at Wake Tech studying business in hopes to one day open her own childcare center! In her free time, Kayla likes to go shopping, do her school work, catch up on sleep and spend time with her friends and family! Jessica started at the Goddard school in October 2021. She graduated High School in 2014. She started working in early childhood education because she loves working with children and watching them grow! Jessica has been in the field for 11 years and enjoyed working at summer camps for several years before that. She enjoys volunteering and has worked with a company to teach children how to build computers! In her free time, Jessica likes to go for walks at parks, watch anime, play kickball and go for a swim! Tiffany started at the Goddard School in November of 2022. She graduated high School in 2011. She has worked with children since she was 12, both in her church nursery and on mission trips! In the fall of 2018, Tiffany became a nanny for a family with two children and was with them for three years. After that, Tiffany started working in a formal early childhood education setting because she loves working with children! In her free time, she loves to go thrift shopping, read books, and watch movies with friends and family. Favorite Children's Book: "There's a Wocket in my Pocket!" by Dr. Seuss. Ms. Simone our Lead Teacher in the Pioneers PreSchool classroom. She started with us as a Resource teacher working part time as she worked on completing her Associates degree graduating in June, 2020 and is currently working on her Bachelors degree. During her time at Goddard Lochmere she has worked in Infants, Young Toddlers and now in Preschool classrooms. She is always looking in giving the children in her classroom a merry time. She enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, loves to travel when she has free time. She is looking forward to the fun her little friends will have exploring and learning!

Jazmine started at the Goddard School in August of 2024. She has her associates degree in early childhood education from Wake Tech Community College and is currently pursuing her bachelors in early childhood education from NCCU. Jazmine has been working in childcare for 5 years now and teaching is her passion! She feels that working with children keeps her energetic and she can look at things with a child-like wonder. In her free time, Jazmine likes to shop, spend time with her family and friends and sleep! Favorite Children's Book: "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff. Christina started at the Goddard School in August 2023. She attended college at Wake Technical Community College where she received her Associate degree. Christina has worked in early childhood education for over 18 years and has experience with every age group! She chose to work in childcare because she wants to be part of children's learning experiences. In her free time, Christina likes to go shopping, watch movies and do crossword puzzles. Sharon, also known as Lizzy, started at the Goddard School in January of 2023. She has a degree from a Technical Collage and as been in childcare since 2005. Lizzy began working with children in her church and then decided she wanted to pursue a career in childcare where she could play a role in the education of many children. In her free time she likes to read books, travel, bake, watch movies and hang out with her family and friends. Favorite Children's Book: "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister.

Ms. Amanda is a Lead Teacher in the Inventors Prekindergarten classroom. She has the unique benefit of being the first teacher at our school when we opened in April 2019! She comes to us with over 12 years of experience in early childhood education including special education. She has a Masters Degree in Education and Curriculum, a Bachelors in History and certifications in regular and special elementary education. She loves teaching and helping young minds grow through learning. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter and listening to their stories of experiences of what they have done always brings a smile to her face. Her favorite children’s book is “Sweet smells of Christmas” because it reminds her of her grandmother and her sweet gentle smile. She loves to cook and bake and brings both into her classroom as part of her natural learning process!

Ms. Megan is our Lead Teacher in the Inventors Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has a degree in Associates of Arts and will be graduating from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelors in Birth through Kindergarten in Fall 2022. She comes with several years of previous Goddard experience and appreciates the values and standards that Goddard places on development of the individual child. She is passionate about seeing children fulfill their potential by establishing a positive learning environment, quality education and a safe place that allows them the freedom to be themselves. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her own two children and playing guitar!

Lana started working at the Goddard School in June of 2020. She has 30 years of experience in early childhood education, specifically Pre-K. She has experience working with children from infants to high school, including some time in a special education inclusive classroom. Lana worked for Wake County Public Schools grades K-2 for six years, has been a substitute teacher and she spent time at the Governor Morehead School learning to translate Braille for the visually impaired students in WCPSS! Lana entered the field of early childhood education because she has a passion for teaching children and partnering with their families to give them the best foundation and experience with learning. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and traveling. Favorite Children's Book: "Pete the Cat" by James Dean. Favorite Quote: "A good education can change anyone. Mary started working at the Goddard School in June of 2023. She has 37 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. Mary has a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. She also has a Level II Early Childhood Certification. Mary enjoys volunteering and is always involved in her church's Back to School giveaway each year. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family, and cooking different things in her air fryer! Favorite Children's Book: "Me on a Map" by Joan Sweeney. Aide started at the Goddard School in March of 2023. She is currently working towards her CDA and has certificates in first aid, CPR, and sleep safe. Aide has worked in a childcare setting for four years but has 20 years of experience between raising her own children and helping with childcare for family and friends. Aide loves working with children to see their wonderment while watching them learn and grow! In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, go to the farmers market, the night market and pop-up shops! Favorite Children's Book: "The Giving Tree" Shel Silverstein. Angel started at the Goddard School back in November of 2023. She chose to go into childcare because she wanted to find a school to work at with her new baby! Angel treasures all relationships she's built with the children and their families since she's started here. She loves helping all the children learn and reach various milestones. In her free time, Angel loves candle making, soap making and spending time with her toddler. Favorite Children's Book: Biscuit Book Series by Alyssa Satin Capucilli. Neelima started at the Goddard School in August of 2024. She has her masters in computers. Neelima has done volunteer work for a non-profit organization called Health Trust Organization and has worked as a teachers assistant in the public schools. She chose to work in childcare because she believes that "today's children are tomorrow's future" and wants to help grow their minds. Favorite Children's Book: "The Three Little Pigs".
