Our Teachers

After being a part of the Triangle community for over twenty years, I am proud to open The Goddard School. Having raised two children, I recognize how valuable it is to set a solid foundation for children in their early years of learning. I love building great connections with parents, families, children and my team. My vision for the school is to provide stimulating child care that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Ms. Jina Smith was born in Rochester, NY where she earned both her Bachelors in Child Care Administration and her Masters degree in Public Administration. Jina has been a director since 2010 and has worked in the early childhood field since 2000. She moved to Raleigh NC in 2019. She enjoys spending time with her family, her husband and three boys. She loves going for walks on natural trails and camping. She loves to read and learn new things. She is a lifelong learner who has a passion for encouraging and supporting children to grow to their full potential. Jina loves supporting teachers, parents and the community as an Educational Leader and Performance Improvement mentor.

Sue has her degree in Early Childhood Education and has been in childcare for 28 years. She has been a teacher, assistant director and Director. In her private time she-loves spending time with family and traveling the world. Born and raised in North Carolina. Love the Tar-heels and Kanas City football.
