Both NAEYC and Cognia accredited, Goddard Lake Houston is the premier private childcare, preschool, kindergarten, before & after school care, & summer camp experience in northeast Houston. We are excited to be a part of the Lake Houston community and we are honored to play a role in your child’s early childhood development!     Mrs. Rebecca is the Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She has 35 years of experience, 23 years in leadership. She has experience working for profit, non-profit, corporate, and small childcare centers. Rebecca currently is a member of NAEYC and Reggio Children, both benchmarks for high quality early childhood education. She manages 2 Assistant Directors and all our Teachers. In her role, she oversees all aspects of our operation, including health & safety, staffing, training, scheduling, and much more. Mrs. Rebecca is passionate about early childhood development and believes that all children deserve a quality early start to learning. She loves helping children grow and develop and she enjoys meeting new families. Mrs. Rebecca enjoys reading true crime books and watching scary movies. However, her favorite activity is riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle through the mountains with her husband. She holds a degree in Child Development and a CDA and is a State of Texas Certified
  • Miss Niesha

    Miss Niesha

    Assistant Director
    Miss Niesha is an Assistant Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She joined us in October 2022. Niesha has 13 years experience in the early childhood education industry. She wears many, many hats during the course of any day: Interacting with parents, running the building, doing tours, helping teachers, on and on. Niesha is our Health & Safety lead, which includes monthly mock quality assurance audits and conducting fire, intruder, and severe weather drills. Miss Niesha loves being around and interacting with children of all ages. She enjoys reading books with children and loves singing and dancing with them…Any music will do but her favorite is instructional/move & grove Miss Niesha recently completed Goddard Systems Director Training and she is pursuing her State of Texas Director License. She attended University of Southern Mississippi where she excelled at intramural basketball and walked on to the University team. Miss Niesha enjoys spending time with her family.

    Miss Ashley is our office administrator. She has been in the early childhood development industry for over a year. Miss Ashley loves working and being around children. She previously worked with infants and toddlers before starting at Goddard. Miss Ashley is excited to be working in the office learning something new everyday. You'll probably find her with a smile on her face, a coffee in hand, running around, and making sure that everything is running smoothly. Outside the office Miss Ashley enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Greyson and going to aquariums. She loves spending time with her family especially her mom and step-dad. She is a proud auntie to her niece and nephew. Miss Ashley is a dog mom to her two dogs Duke & Daisy. She loves taking them to the park and taking them on adventures in the car.

    Infant Teacher
    Miss. Alyzae is a teacher in our Bunnies and Bumble Bee classrooms. She has 3 years in childhood development industry, she loves to encourage our babies to explore and learn new things. Miss Alyzae has a passions for working with children and enjoys helping them meet their developmental milestones. She is excited to creating a warm and fun learning classroom for our infants. Miss Alyzae enjoys keeping the babies engaged in sensory play watching them explore new textures by sight and touch allows each baby to try something new. She love to read books to our kiddos allow them to hear and learn new words and exploring a new world in a book. Her favorite book is the Very Hungry Caterpillar By Eric Carle. She loves all things animals and beauty. Favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family and friends outside of work. In her free time, she likes perfecting her craft and enjoys making people look beautiful by styling their hair and doing makeup.

    Mrs. Taylor is our support staff in bunnies. She has been is the early childhood development industry for 5 years. She makes the classroom safe and consistent for the kiddos. She’s very passionate about building neural connections and helping them hit all their developmental milestones. Mrs. Taylor is committed to providing a clean and safe environment. She loves engaging with kids on their level. Mrs. Taylor also loves helping each Child learn to do something new like sitting up, holding a spoon, or taking their first steps. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Taylor enjoys sewing, Painting, and playing videogames. She lives for the weekends that her husband , Mark, and her get to go shopping and decorate their new house. Mrs. Taylor is pursuing her bachelor's degree in early childhood development. Fulfilling her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher

    Lead Butterflies
    Miss Hilda is the Lead Teacher in the Butterflies classroom. She has 15 years’ experience in the early childhood development industry and is Goddard Lake Houston’s longest tenured teacher! Hilda is Goddard Lake Houston’s version of Big Ben…She is always on time, never absent, and opens our building EVERY morning…She is an all-star and super consistent! Miss Hilda loves her classroom and won’t let anybody mess with it! As you might think, she has a very specific way she wants her classroom run, especially curriculum & cleaning. Miss Hilda is dedicated, works very hard, and has an amazing way of teaching 1-year-olds so much in a short period of time. Her class even sits at the table and eats lunch together (most of the time). She is super task oriented and won’t stop until the job is done. Hilda has 2 children, Melissa (34) and Mikayla (26), and 1 granddaughter, Luna (2).

    Mrs. Mary is Support Staff in the Butterflies Classroom. She has 27 years experience in the early childhood education industry. She enjoys watching the children grow through active play and hands on experiences. Mrs. Mary is very affectionate and nurturing. She loves hugging the children and singing and dancing with them…You will probably catch her teaching the children her latest, most awesome dance moves! Mrs. Mary enjoys interior design, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Mary has 2 sons, Alfred & Charles.

    Miss Lauren is one of our support staff in our Turtles classroom. She has been in the early childhood development industry for 4 years. She had previously worked with infants and 2-year-olds. Miss Lauren loves working and being around children. She is excited to be working with the inquiry-based curriculum wonder of learning. Miss Lauren is excited to provide a loving and fun classroom. She loves helping the children learn exciting new skills. She is ready to see the excitement and smiles on the children's faces when they learn new things Outside of the classroom miss Lauren loves spending time with her family and friends. Even though she doesn’t have any children of her own she cherishes spending time with her friends' children. She also loves grabbing all kinds of coffee and going on road trips.

    Lead Chipmunks Teacher
    Mrs. Kristen is our lead teacher in the chipmunk's classroom. She has 5 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Mrs. Kristen utilizes our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning, to lead small group activities. She encourages individualism of children through dramatic play and helps keep the classrooms organized and on schedule. Mrs. Kristen enjoys playing one-on-one with the children. You will probably find her leading a dance party and singing. Her favorite kid song is Freeze Dance. Mrs. Kristen does her best to help children understand their emotions and how to effectively communicate those feelings to others. Mrs. Kristen loves all sports including soccer, fishing, and volleyball. She is married to Wesley (1 year) and has a son, Mateo (10). Mrs. Kristen holds a bachelor of science degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (May 2023).

    Lead Squirrels Teacher
    Miss Diamond is the lead teacher in our squirrel's at Goddard Lake Houston classrooms. She has 8 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Diamond ensures each child is learning at an individual pace while staying on schedule and task with the class. She encourages and nurtures her kiddos to success. Miss Diamond is patient and AMAZING at potty training! Miss Diamond loves singing and dancing with the class. She gets on the same level of the children so that she can understand their mindset. Miss Diamond helps her children grow intellectually and physically, but especially socially. She is always smiling and laughing with the children. Miss Diamond enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, and hunting. Her favorite park for camping is Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Campground near Prairie View, Texas. She has 2 children, Tari (6) and Nalorie (2).

    Mrs. Kristen has 17 years in early childhood development industry. She enjoys and takes pride in creating a nurturing and learning environment for our kids. She is passionate about nurturing young minds and helping them reach their full potential. She enjoys each developmental stage or early childhood learning. Mrs. Kristen is excited to provide a fun, loving, and learning classroom. Mrs. Kristen loves morning and afternoon meetings. It gives her the chance say good morning to each child and share learning through song and repetition. Mrs. Kristen is excited to be working with wonder of learning using our inquiry-based curriculum. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Kristen enjoys spending time with her now 4 grown children and their families. Mrs. Kristen enjoys taking bike rides with her husband. Some of her hobbies include gardening and quilting. Her favorite way to relax is with a cup of coffee and a good book.

    Miss Keila is a teacher in our Bears classroom. She started her career at the Children’s Museum of Houston and has 6 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Keila focuses on building a foundation of learning so that the children will become confident learners. Her classroom is structured but fun so that the children in her classroom are well prepared for success in kindergarten. Miss Keila is a creative teacher who always displays evidence of learning in her classroom. She believes one can get the most out of children by breaking down learning into small, understandable pieces. Miss Keila is well organized and stays on schedule (most of the time). Miss Keila loves to bake; especially pumpkin bread and white chocolate chip Macadamia nut cookies. She has a cat named Rigel (the brightest start in the Orion constellation). Keila has a Bachelor of Human Development and a Masters of Education of Curriculum & Instruction, both from University of Houston.

    Kindergarten Teacher
    Mrs. Tiffany is our Private Kindergarten teacher in the Owls classroom. She has 9 years experience in the early childhood development industry and is one of Goddard Lake Houston’s longest tenured teachers! Mrs. Tiffany focuses individually on each child and makes learning fun. She teaches directly to the State of Texas TEKS. Each year she covers all kindergarten TEKS in the first 85% of the academic year, using the remaining 15% of the year to teach 1st grade TEKS to our Private Kindergarteners. Mrs Tiffany enjoys shaping the minds of young children. She is hard working, patient, and dedicated to making sure all of her students are extremely well prepared to excel in 1st grade and beyond. Mrs. Tiffany enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. She has a bachelors degree in Psychology. Mrs. Tiffany is married to Jimmy (2 years) and has 3 children: Jaxin (9), Emma (7), and Johnie (1).

    Miss Mariah is a teacher is our Owls Classroom. She has 3 years of experience in early childhood education. Miss Mariah Feels it is important for every child to feel a sense of belonging in life. Her goal is to ensure they feel loved and seen while having lots of fun Miss Mariah is super understanding and caring. She loves to do jazzy activities with the children to make the routines as creative as possible. She talks to them, listens to them, and tries to understand their feelings and issues. Her goal is to ensure they feel safe and that they are learning and having FUN, FUN, FUN! In Miss Mariah’s enjoys spending time with her dog Zeke, spending time with her family, and shopping for the latest new drops.

    Miss Stephanie is a teacher in our Foxes classroom. She has 1 year experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Stephanie enjoys teaching our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning. She adapts the lesson plans so that the children are most likely to understand the lesson and retain what they have learned. Miss Stephanie believes in learning while having fun, but also likes to keep the classroom on a scheduled for consistency and routine. Miss Stephanie builds a relationship with each child individually. This relationship leads to trust, which leads to a great learning environment. She makes learning interesting and fun by always being enthusiastic. Miss Stephanie does her most effective teaching in small groups. Miss Stephanie is an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams are the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. She has 3 dogs that look just like Scooby Doo. Miss Stephanie is pursuing a degree in Business Management at San Jacinto College.

    Mrs. Vivian is a floater and will be going from classroom to classroom helping where needed. Mrs. Vivian loves the idea of getting to work with all the teachers and the kids in their classrooms. She is happy to be learning how all the classrooms are run and implementing the wonder of learning curriculum. Mrs. Vivian is very outgoing and loves working with children of all ages. She is happy to be working in all the different areas that she’s needed. She is happy to learn and work with our inquiry- based curriculum and implement it in all the different classrooms that she will be in. Mrs. Vivian comes from a big family of 7 kids. She has 4 older sisters, 3 older brothers, and she is the youngest. She loves spending time with her grandchildren who are 3 years old, and 6 months old.

    Ms. Marcie is our kitchen manager. She has 10 years of experience preparing meals. She finds that preparing meals and snacks for the children is very rewarding. . Miss Marcie keeps our kitchen organized and super clean. She does all our prepping, and preparing for meals and snacks, ensuring that each child receives appropriately nutritional food. Ms. Marcie is super excited to be providing meals and snacks for all the children at Goddard lake Houston. She loves to learn new recipes and discover different ways to make things. Miss Marcie also drives a bus for before and after school drop off and pick up. In Ms. Marcie’s free time she loves to read books, go swimming, and spend time with her kids. Ms. Marcie loves also loves to go shopping and to the movies.

    Ms. Heavyn is a passionate educator with 5 years of experience in early childhood development. She has previously worked with infants and preschoolers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and is committed to fostering a love for learning in every student. Throughout her career Ms. Heavyn has developed engaging curriculum that inspires critical thinking and creativity through songs, movement, and art activities. She believes in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Heavyn enjoys exploring new places in nature with her parents, two siblings, and niece. She also loves creating fun crafts and designs for shirts and cups. Ms. Heavyn enjoys spending her downtime at home curled up with a good book and her two cats. She is excited to be apart of the Goddard school and looks forward to all the fun learning adventures ahead

    Ms. Serenity Has been in early childhood education for 4 years. She Continues to Learn something new everyday from the kids in her care. She has learned to always have patients and listen to what a child needs. Miss Serenity is excited to dive into wonder of learning and its inquiry-based curriculum Miss Serenity has always been the teacher to go out of her way for other children, whether that be gifts, treats, or fun activity toys. Miss Serenity loves to see children be happy and reach all their milestones as they continue to learn and grow. Outside of the classroom Miss Serenity loves to drawing. It is a very calming thing for her. She is the baby of 6 siblings! Miss serenity went to school to be a CNA.

    Ms. Mimi is the lead teacher in our Turtles classroom. She has been teaching for 17 years in the early childhood development industry. She has her CDA in infants and toddlers. Ms. Mimi is Passionate about creating an environment were all her children feel safe and included. Ms. Mimi love to create interactive activities that go along with our inquiry-based curriculum wonder of learning. She loves being able to teach her kids all about shapes, colors, alphabets, and counting. Ms. Mimi is excited to see her kids progress and growth while in her room. Outside of the classroom Ms. Mimi loves to travel all over, shop, and spend time with her family.

She has experience working with children of all needs. She loves engaging with each child to help them grow and have fin with them. Miss Alex is excited to working with wonder of leaving and having the option to make each lesson fit to her children's needs Outside of the classroom miss Alex is starting her own craft business. She loves getting creative and bringing that into the classroom. Miss Alex is currently working on her early childhood development degree.

    Ms. Denise has 26 years in the early childhood education industry, and she loves everything about it. She is very excited to be apart of the Wonder of Learning curriculum. Ms. Denise is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. She wants all the children to feel loved and cared for. She is excited to the journeys and memories she's going to make while being here at Goddard Lake Houston. Ms. Denise is a very caring and fun person and treat all children like her own. At the end of the day, they will always have a smile on their face. Ms. Denise love the idea of being able to change the curriculum to better fit the child needs. Outside of the classroom she loves to watch cooking and crime shows. Ms. Denise enjoys going to the flea markets and spending time with her family.
